Latitude Ventures presents Cape Town in combination with a Swedish-owned Hunting and conference safari lodge: Imabas Safari

Day 1: Cape Town and Table Mountain

Welcome to Cape Town. This day includes a guided tour of Cape Town and the surroundings, such as Table Mountain and Signal Hill.  Check into the Camps Bay Retreat, have something to eat and then set out to explore the city. In the evening, you will dine at a seafood restaurant by the ocean. Overnight at the Camps Bay Retreat

Day 2: Day with the Sharks

The drive to Gansbaai will take about 1 ½ hours. Once there, you will be served breakfast at the “White Shark Lodge” and be informed of the sharks’ behaviour. The boat is then launched and you are taken to Dyer’s Island, known for it’s large seal population. This is where the sharks will be most commonly found. You dive down in cages in order to best view these fantastic creatures. Lunch is served on board.

Day 3: Cape Of Good Hope

Tour the Cape Point you get to tour to the Cape Of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point via Camps Bay and Hout Bay, where you will take a boat to Duiker “seal” Island. Stop over at Boulders Beach and view the penguin colony. You lunch at Simons Town and stop over in Kalk Bay where you can shop for antiques and clothes. On the way to Cape Town, you stop over at The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Overnight at the Camps Bay Retreat.


Day 4 and 5: The Wine Region – Wine Tasting and Golf

Tour the Wine Region and taste the cheese and wine. See the vineyards in Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and have lunch in South Africa’s second oldest town, Stellenbosch. Combine this tour with a round of golf at the Pearl Valley or Erinvale. Overnight at the River Manor in Stellenbosch.

Hunting at Imbasa Safari

Imbasa Safari offers plains game hunting with highly experienced professional hunters and trackers, and a fully equipped rifle range and top quality hunting vehicles. On our  ground you will find plenty of plains game, including 18 different species of antelope including kalahari springbok, black springbok, gemsbok (oryx), kudu, waterbuck, wilderbeest, impala, eland, mountain reedbok. We also have zebra, warthog, and caracal to name a few.

Imbasa Safari has got 2000 hectares of hunting grounds. If you would like to hunt other animals than those we can offer, we have c. 15.000 hectares of hunting concession in the area which also include bird shooting.

Imbasa is fully equipped for bow hunting.

Day 1. We pick you up at Kimberley airport and drive c. 45 minutes to Imbasa. Upon having installed yourself in your room, there will be time for a short game drive and sundowners in the bush. Back at the lodge our staff has prepared a delicious South African meal.

Day 2-5. Your Pro Hunter will give you an early wake-up call, before the sun has risen. You are served a hot cup of coffee or tee and rusks before joining your PH and tracker in the 4x4 vehicle. As you set of, the sun rises and you will have the chance to experience a great morning hunt! Around 11 o’clock a large brunch is served back at the camp, and thereafter you will have free time to spend as you please. Perhaps by relaxing by the pool, reading a good book, or simply taking a nap. The afternoon kicks off with an afternoon tea, after which you go out for the afternoon hunt. Back at camp our staff is preparing your dinner which will be served after you have had time to freshen up after the long, and successful day.

Day 6. After a sumptuous brunch, we drive you to Kimberley airport, which takes approximately 45 minutes. We help you with your check-in and make sure that all is in order for your departure.

The hunting package includes the following:

1 Gemsbok (Oryx)
1 Blesbok
1 Springbok

10% discount on the above trophy package, 5 nights accommodation (double room sharing), all meals, local drinks, service of a Professional Hunter and tracker in hunting vehicle (2/1), transport to and from hunting areas, initial preparation of trophies and skin for further transport to taxidermist, transport to and from Kimberley airport, aid with preparation of hunting permit, daily laundry service.

(The price does not include airfares, insurance, taxidermist, tips to staff, telephone or fax charges, other activities such as golf, photo safaris at Mokala National Park etc)
