Plettenberg Bay Golf Course

The course has recently undergone a major renovation to a park-like course with beautiful trees that makesit an exciting and high-class challenge. From the course you have a magnificent view over the bay.

St Francis Links Golf Course, St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape

St. Francis Links is located just outside the beautiful small town of St Francis Bay. St. Francis Links is highly exposed to wind, as the summer winds are often strong, which, combined with lightning fast greens, tight fairways and high rough makes the course a true challenge. Just like many other Jack Nicklaus-designed courses St. Francis Links has quite a few bunkers. The golf course is incredibly beautiful with a stunning view towards St. Francis Bay and the ocean, and is a typical links in nature and layout. It is a tough championship course and it is a real challenge, not recommended for beginners.

Fancourt Golf Courses, Garden Route, Western Cape

The Links
The former landing strip gave Gary Player and his ambitious design team the chance to create a stunning links course with an unusual character. The result is magical. The course had a chance to organize the Presidents Cup as no surprise. This track is one of the most visually stimulating, with inspiration from both Ireland and Scotland.

Montague
This classic parkland course was for a long time ranked as South Africa's very best. A few years ago the course went through an extensive renovation and several holes have been redesigned and two completely new holes have been presented: number one and nine.

Outeniqua
This course is named after the mountain range that runs along the Garden Route coast. The difficulty (and beauty) lies in trying to cope with the hilly terrain, the speed of the greens, the narrow fairway corridors and to stay away from an occasional water hazard.

Hermanus Golf Course, Hermanus, Western Cape

This lovely course is situated in the charming fishing village of the same name. Located about 1 hour and half from Cape Town at the southern tip of Africa. It is a beautiful parkland course with 18 holes where the wind and the sea's presence will often affect the game. The view of the mountains in the background are spectacular. A warm and homely atmosphere prevails both in the clubhouse as on the practice ground and on the course.

Oubaai Golf Course, Garden Route, Western Cape

Oubaai Golf Club is located 10 minutes from George along the South Africa's beautiful Garden Route. The golf course is situated between Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua Mountains, making the views from the golf course absolutely stunning!

Oubaai Golf Course is a typical links course and the fairways are relatively wide, but there are plenty of bunkers and the rough is thick and difficult to play. When the wind gets going Oubaai is a really challenging golf course. On Oubaai there are several great golf holes, but the signature hole is definitely the 17th hole, a par 3 at 144m, with the tee is situated high above the green and the views of the sea are breath-taking.

Arabella Golf Club

Arabella Golf Club, Kleinmond, (just outside of Hermanus), Western Cape / The theme is balance. Challenging enough to bring you back for more, enjoyable enough to make you not want to leave. The design challenge was headed by the renowned architect Peter Matkovich. His undoubted success has resulted in a course that complements the environment without disappointing the golfer, whether expert or amateur. The course is 6381 metres in length and has a SAGU rating of 72. It borders the largest natural lagoon in South Africa, and the 9th, 17th and 18th run parallel to the lagoon. Choosing a signature hole proves to be an extremely difficult task as all of the holes are well designed with spectacular views. Peter Matkovich, who designed the Arabella Golf course, ensured that the 18 holes encompass the Mountain backdrops, lagoon frontage and forests on the estate near Kleinmond. These provide for links, parkland and coastal aspects, while the individual fairways provide natural corridors as vantage points to savour nature’s true beauty.

George Golf Club
