Pearl Valley Golf Course, Cape Winelands, Western Cape

Jack Nicklaus has been faithful to his design principles by working closely with nature and this has created a golf course that fits into the environment, with the Berg River running through the course as a water hazard. Pearl Valley is a relatively flat and has an almost uninterrupted terrain, this gave Nicklaus the freedom to develop advanced hole-strategies; making this course a true challange. The course is surrounded by Simonberg and Drakenstein Mountains and bordered by meandering vineyards.

De Zalze Golf Course, Stellenbosch, Western Cape

De Zalze Golf Club is located in Stellenbosch, about 40 minutes from Cape Town, in one of the most beautiful parts of the Cape Winelands. TheBlaauwklippen River meanders through the course and the course is lined by vineyards and orange trees. The view from the De Zalze Golf Club is also brilliant, with many holes overlooking the majestic mountains in the background.

De Zalze Golf Club is a championship course with large and often very fast greens. The fairways are relatively wide and the track is a challenge for both low and high handicappers. De Zalze Golf Club was host for the 2006 World Amateur Team Championships (Eisenhower and Espirito Santo Trophies). De Zalze is ranked as the 24th best golf course in South Africa in 2008 by Golf Digest.

Erinvale Golf Course, Somerset West, Western Cape

At the foot of the magnificent Helderberg mountains, about 30 minutes from Cape Town, is one of South Africa's golf-gems; Erinvale. The golf course, designed by Gary Player, offers a unique golfing challenge for all levels of golfers, the course has a breathtaking view of the Cape Winelands and the beautiful False Bay coastline.The front nine is on the flat, winding between the many houses in this part of the estate, while the back nine climbs up the lower slopes of the magnificent Helderberg Mountains. Erinvale Golf Club opened in 1994 and has since hosted various golf championships like the World Cup of Golf in 1996 and more recently the South African Open in 2003 and 2004. South African Open is the second oldest golf championship in the world.

Robertson Golf Club

Surrounded by the rolling Langebergmountains in the Breede River Valley and bordered by vineyards and orchards. It is the only 18-hole golf course in the beautiful ‘Valley of Wine and Roses’. Described as a fun, leisurely course it is extremely golfer friendly, with comfortable walks from tee to green. It has a great mix of long and short holes, with course designer DanieObermeyer’s signature “rivet faced” bunkers providing punishment for the wayward shot!

Steenberg Golf Course, Constantia, Western Cape

The course was designed and built by one of South Africa's leading golf course architects, Peter Matkovich. The 18 hole championship golf course winds leisurely through the Steenberg vineyards, pine forests and gentle waterways. The Steenberg golf course features four distinct areas: Wetlands, Parklands, The Cape Flats and Fynbos. With five different tees, the course can be enjoyed by all, from championship to junior level. Many golfers envy the superb condition of this soft spike course and it is widely renowned for having the best greens in Cape Town.
