Botswana Safaris in the Okavango Delta and Chobe

Okavango Delta

Known as the “River that never makes it to the sea,” the Okavango Delta consists of 6000 square miles of lagoons, channels and islands. The delta is impressive because it is a river that spills onto the sands of the Kalahari Desert and never goes any further, creating a large oasis within the otherwise arid landscape. Home to many types of wildlife, the fertile plains are an impressive haven.

Chobe

Chobe is the second largest national park in Botswana. It has a high concentration of animals, the largest being elephants with an estimated population of 70,000. It is more than likely that your safari experience will be a very exciting one. Originally, this area was inhabited by the San people who were hunter-gatherers and migrated from place to place, following the trails of the animals on which their lives depended. Today, you can take a 4x4 and see the lands and trails for yourself.
